The place of a life

Normandy Feathers

When I arrived in Normandy about thirty years ago, I naturally turned to photographing the birds I could find in the area.
Some will quickly understand that I spent more time with some species than others.
The red-backed shrike is my favourite species, that's for sure and I don't hide it. It is a fascinating bird to observe. It comes back to Normandy to nest every year and arrives the first week of May.
I have also had the opportunity to encounter some rarities. Thus in 2018, I followed during 10 days, a shrike (another one you will say!) but with pink breast. A real stroke of luck as it has become almost non-existent in France. Some birds more or less leucistic also come to spice up my daily life.
