The nibblers

Lagomorphs and rodents

The particularity of this gallery is that I have voluntarily grouped together these more or less small herbivorous mammals, which can often be seen nibbling on something. Some of them, like the Beaver, are real ecosystem builders and others, like the Pika, are suffering the consequences of global warming.
The lagomorphs are an order of mammals that includes the leporidae (hares and rabbits) and the pikas.
Rodents or rodentians are an order that includes the largest number of species of placental mammals (more than 2000) whose particularity is characterized by a single pair of incisors with continuous growth on each of their jaws used to feed, dig or defend themselves.
